Although we encourage the use of water-based inks for your project, the print outcome is different. If Plastisol is your choice of ink, we take measures when using them. Aside from always lending our best efforts to only using what’s the quantity needed for the print, our studio’s filtration system helps to prevent some of the alarming effects of plastisol ink IN THE WATER.

A lot more chemicals just than inks are used in the screen printing process, and we are continuing to work with the best options on the market. ALL OF OUR SHOP’S CLEANING PRODUCTS ARE ALL ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE, NON-HAZARDSOUS PRODUCTS that are FREE OF OILS.

In order to prevent sending harmful chemicals into our citY’S water, we BUILT AND IMPLEMENTED a FILTRATION SYSTEM in our studio to HELP PURIFY THE WATER beiNG used in the cleaning process. Additionally it allows us to recycle the water being cleaned for the next UPCOMING cleaning cycle.
The water FIRST passes through a 3 stage filter system before it reaches the water tank. THE ELECTROSTATIC FILTER Catches most of the dust …
Once the water IS IN THE TANK, the pump sends IT through two filters. Each filter contains a Micron 5 Filter to remove any remaining dust, ink or any other particles before it is PASSED INTO OUR Reusable clean WATER TANK.
ONCE IT’S REACHED OUR WATER TANK, IT’S READY TO BE REUSED TO WASH THE NEXT SET OF SCREENS OR BE DRAINED INTO THE CITY’S WATER SYSTEM, CHEMICAL FREE.

Lastly, we always strive to better our daily in-studio practices to reduce waste. We reuse scrap fabrics, misprint clothing, and other flawed materials for printing tests and cleaning rags. Additionally we are always researching and staying up to date with new Eco friendly products on the market for screen printing.
